Passport number
只抄资料页上的护照号。使用这次赴美时随身携带的 VWP 电子护照。

按护照上的 Latin 拼写填写全部姓和名。不要照抄机票上的姓名缩写。

Date of birth
日期要和护照一致。本地检查器使用 YYYY-MM-DD；ESTA 官网请用页面提供的日期控件。

填写国家或地区代码和可接通的号码。本人没有电话时，CBP 允许填写能联系到的第三方号码。

填写目前居住的街道、城市、州省和国家或地区。美国住宿地点会在别处单独询问。

即使目前没有雇主，也要回答 Yes 或 No。选择 Yes 时，再填写要求的现任或曾任雇主资料。

可填写朋友、亲属、商务联系人、酒店或住宿地点。不知道资料时填写 UNKNOWN。

官方站会显示一个确认页。先截图——那是你的备份。

几分钟内会有 dhs.gov 域名的邮件送达，附记录详情。

保存申请编号，并在官网查看“授权获批”“旅行未获授权”或“授权待定”。ESTA 是电子授权，不保证一定获准入境。

准备好赴美时要使用的电子护照，在 CBP 官网填写。ESTA 是收费旅行授权，不是签证。获批后的官方总价为 40.27 美元：先收 4.00 美元处理费，获批后再收 36.27 美元。最迟在出发前 72 小时提交。

Include the country code. If you have no phone, CBP permits a reachable third-party contact number.
The current official ESTA printable application labels this section Optional. Add identifiers if you choose, select no online presence when applicable, or leave it blank.
Use a friend, relative, business contact, or the place you will stay. CBP permits UNKNOWN when you do not know the information.

主机名必须是 esta.cbp.dhs.gov。官方先收 4.00 美元处理费，只有申请获批才再收 36.27 美元。结果为 Travel Not Authorized 时，只应扣 4.00 美元。
提交后保存申请编号。授权通常有效 2 年或到护照到期日，以先到者为准；文莱护照的有效期为 1 年。
