Qatar Hayya e-Visa · field guide · varies

The fields where people get the official Hayya e-Visa wrong, in form order.

The public Qatar Tourism checker and Hayya category page expose the route questions, passport-validity rule and accommodation prompt. The account application does not expose later regexes, character limits or error text publicly, so this guide makes no pattern or official-error claims.

§ Fields, in order

8 fields, 3 sections, varies total.

All sections Showing 8 of 8
Section 1 · Route
01

Nationality

Enter the passport country in the live Qatar Tourism checker and Hayya journey. Do not substitute residence for nationality.

02

GCC citizenship

Citizens of Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the UAE need no visa. Hayya says a passport or GCC ID is enough for this status.

03

Visa-free entry status

Use the live result for the exact passport. If it says Enter visa-free and you meet the listed conditions, a Hayya tourist visa is not required.

04

Residence or qualifying visa status

Answer the checker questions about GCC residence and residence in, or a valid visa for, the named countries. These answers can direct the traveller to A2 or A3.

Section 2 · Application
05

Hayya e-Visa category

A1 is for tourism and leisure. A2 is for GCC residents. A3 is for nationals or residents of specified countries. Hayya also lists A4 for GCC-citizen companions and F1 for US passports.

06

Passport validity

Check the passport expiry against the arrival date. Qatar Tourism states that the passport must remain valid for at least 3 months from arrival or entry.

07

Accommodation

Prepare the accommodation evidence shown for the route. Qatar Tourism says A1 requires a hotel reservation during the application, while some arrival routes require a Discover Qatar booking.

Section 3 · Decision
08

Visa fee

Qatar Tourism lists QAR 100 for a Hayya tourist visa and says the A1 payment request comes after approval. Confirm the category and live amount before paying.

§ After submit

What happens between hitting submit and getting through immigration.

  1. 01

    Confirmation screen

The official site shows a confirmation on screen. Screenshot it — that's your backup.

  2. 02

    Track the result in Hayya

The platform lets applicants manage the e-Visa through the website and app. Do not treat an account submission as an approved entry visa.

  3. 03

    At immigration

Manage the approved Hayya e-Visa in the Hayya website or app and travel with the passport used for the route check and application.

  4. 04

    Keep the approved e-Visa available

Keep the approved Hayya e-Visa available on the trip together with the application passport.

  5. 05

    Follow the exact route result

Visa-free, arrival and Hayya rules depend on passport and residence or visa status. Recheck the live Qatar Tourism result before departure.

The public checker exposes the route questions, and Hayya publishes its category descriptions. The account application does not expose later validation attributes or error text without a real application, so this guide does not invent them.

1. Enter passport nationality

Use the country that issued the passport. Both the Qatar Tourism checker and Hayya journey begin with nationality.

2. Separate GCC citizen from GCC resident

GCC citizens need no visa. A non-GCC citizen with current residence in Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia or the UAE may instead qualify for A2.

3. Read the visa-free result

If the live result says Enter visa-free, read its passport, hotel and trip conditions. A qualifying traveller has no required paid Hayya tourist visa.

4. Answer residence and visa-status questions

The checker asks about GCC residence and residence in, or a valid visa for, specified countries. Use current status; an expired permit or visa is not the same answer.

5. Use the offered Hayya category

A1, A2, A3, A4 and F1 serve different groups. Do not choose A2 only because it sounds faster, or A1 when the live result says free entry.

6. Check passport validity

The Qatar Tourism checker requires at least 3 months of passport validity from arrival or entry.

7. Prepare the correct accommodation evidence

The A1 prompt requires a hotel reservation during the application. Some arrival routes require a Discover Qatar booking. Follow the instruction for the exact result.

8. Pay only after the route is clear

Qatar Tourism lists QAR 100 for the Hayya tourist visa and says A1 payment follows approval. Confirm the category and current amount before paying.
