Panama DJV · field guide · varies

The fields where people get the official DJV wrong, in form order.

The live bilingual form exposes required controls and standard date or email input types, but no public regexes, character limits or validation messages. These nine cards do not claim hidden patterns.

§ Fields, in order

9 fields, 3 sections, varies total.

All sections Showing 9 of 9
Section 1 · Movement
01

Declaration type

Choose entry or exit to match the current movement. Arriving travellers select entry into the country.

02

Customs entry or exit point

Select the customs entry or exit point from the current portal list. Do not guess from an old guide.

Section 2 · Traveller identity
03

First names

Copy the first names from the passport or travel document used for the trip.

04

Last names

Copy the surname or surnames shown in the travel document.

05

Nationality

Select the nationality of the travel document used for this movement.

06

Passport number

Use the passport number from the document carried for this trip. The public form states no character pattern.

07

Date of birth

Match the travel document. The live form labels the declaring-traveller field for age 18 or older.

08

Email address

Enter the same reachable email address in both live fields. Save the QR directly after submission.

Section 3 · Goods and values
09

Goods and values declaration

Answer every customs question for the current luggage and family group. Declare regulated goods and reportable cash or negotiable instruments truthfully.

§ After submit

What happens between hitting submit and getting through immigration.

  1. 01

    Confirmation screen

The official site shows a confirmation on screen. Screenshot it — that's your backup.

  2. 02

    Save the QR after submission

The official rule requires the QR response code at customs. Save it immediately; no email-delivery promise is made here.

  3. 03

    At immigration

Save the QR response code and present it to customs within the official 72-hour window.

  4. 04

Keep a digital and printed QR

Keep the QR on the device used during travel and print a backup if possible.

  5. 05

    Present the QR to customs

The declaration does not replace inspection. Customs may ask to verify the declared goods, values or family members.

The live bilingual form exposes required controls and standard date or email input types. It publishes no regexes, character limits or validation messages, so none are invented here.

Movement

Choose entry into or exit from the country and select the current customs checkpoint from the live list. An arriving traveller should not leave the declaration set to exit.

Traveller identity

Copy first names, surnames, nationality, passport number and date of birth from the travel document. The live form requires the email address twice. Use the same spelling in both fields.

Goods and values

Answer for everything carried by the declared family group. Include regulated food, plants, animals, commercial goods and reportable cash or negotiable instruments when the live question applies.

Photograph, submit and save

Follow the current photograph step; it replaces a handwritten signature for the digital route. Review the declaration, submit it and save the QR response code immediately. Keep a printed backup if possible.
