When to apply

On arrival, during baggage examination: verbally declare the items and their prices, declare currency exceeding EC$10,000, produce travel documents and baggage, and answer the officer's questions.

Who it applies to, exceptions and limits (full text)

Applies to all persons entering Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (Customs AIA arrivals) and to passengers arriving from outside the country. On arrival, at baggage examination, a passenger must: declare to Customs anything in the baggage or carried with them that was obtained outside the country; make a verbal declaration of the items brought (whether purchased or not) and their prices, including gifts, articles carried for other persons, articles for sale, commercial samples and plant material, but not personal effects; and produce travel documents and baggage for examination and answer the officer's questions. Currency strictly exceeding EC$10,000.00, or its equivalent in any foreign currency, must also be declared to the proper Customs Officer at this arrival clearance; exactly EC$10,000.00 does not trigger it, and failure to declare such currency may result in its seizure.
