Who it applies to, exceptions and limits (full text)
Outbound travellers only. Article 3(5) of consolidated Communiqué 2008-32/34 (threshold wording amended by RG-28/3/2025-32855): Turkish currency, and documents enabling payment in Turkish currency, exceeding TRY185,000 — strictly exceeding, 'aşan' — must be declared to customs on the cash declaration form published by the Ministry of Trade. Article 4(2): outgoing foreign currency exceeding EUR10,000 or its equivalent, also strictly exceeding, is declared the same way. Both clauses govern exit ('çıkış') only; the Communiqué contains no inbound cash clause. In force from 2025-03-28 under the Communiqué's Article 18 default rule (no footnote sets another date).
