CUSDEC-CR submitted at arrival; red/green channel chosen at the checkpoint; currency-declaration thresholds apply to foreign currency carried on entry.
Who it applies to, exceptions and limits (full text)
Per the Myanmar National Trade Portal Travellers section as currently readable (retrieved 2026-09-29; the page shows no posting date and its linked CUSDEC-CR PDF returned HTTP 404 this round), travellers entering Myanmar must submit a customs declaration using the CUSDEC-CR Customs Declaration Form for passengers and, on arrival, choose the red 'something to declare' or green 'nothing to declare' channel. A foreign traveller's personal effects are exempt from duty and tax. Foreigners must declare foreign currency exceeding USD 10,000 (strictly above the threshold); citizens of Myanmar must declare all foreign currency. Duty and tax free allowances apply to up to 2 litres of beverage alcohol, up to 150 ml of perfume and up to 400 cigarettes, and certain other items. Bounded caveats: verification stays at the baseline date 2026-09-12 (this round only re-read one undated portal page; its form PDF 404s and the AIP conflict below do not establish 2026 currency); the undated portal text is not certified as verified-2026 rules, and the 2025-07-10 AIP GEN 1.3 instead names a CR.193 form in duplicate 'besides a Customs Baggage Declaration' plus a Foreign Exchange Declaration Form for all arriving passengers - a form-set and currency-threshold conflict reported but not resolved here. Customs guidance only; establishes no immigration or current health-card obligation.
