When to apply

The current ED Form must be completed before entry processing on arrival. The captured 2025 e-Border sources do not state how many days in advance the form may be submitted; the current submission window is unknown.

Who it applies to, exceptions and limits (full text)

Under the 2025 e-Border regime one official portal and app deliver two distinct services. The enhanced biometric Immigration & Customs ED Form is required for SKN citizens, residents, and OECS nationals, including dual nationals, and is completed free of charge; other-passport travellers who do not qualify for the ED Form instead apply for an eTA (procedure KN-eta). That eTA routing does not sweep in SKN citizens/residents, OECS nationals, or SKN/OECS dual nationals travelling on a non-SKN passport: dual nationals or OECS citizens travelling on a non-SKN passport may file the Enhanced ED Form free of charge by uploading proof of SKN/OECS status. Non-digital fallback: travellers without digital access may book an appointment at Immigration HQ, Stanford Building, Golden Rock (Mon-Fri 08:00-16:00) for on-site submission assistance.

When to apply

The eTA application can be submitted up to 90 days before travel; the approved eTA is valid for 90 days or until the passport expires, whichever is sooner (SKNIS, 22 May 2025).

Who it applies to, exceptions and limits (full text)

Per the 2025 e-Border regime, the eTA is required for travellers who do not qualify for the ED Form — generally other-passport visitors (technology.gov.kn: "All other passport" submits eTA); SKNIS (22 May 2025) states every visitor must present an approved eTA before departing the country of origin and on arrival. SKN citizens/residents and OECS citizens do not need an eTA; they instead complete the free ED Form (procedure KN-ed-form). Service charge waived for: CARICOM nationals; accredited diplomats on official duty; children under 2; in-transit passengers; on-duty flight or vessel crew; active military or search-and-rescue personnel; and SKN dual-nationals who upload proof of SKN citizenship. These service-charge waivers cover the fee only and do not in themselves waive the eTA obligation. Fee is recorded as unknown: the captured 2025 announcements set a discounted US$8.50 service charge until 1 September 2025 and a standard US$17 from 1 September 2025, but no captured 2026 official page confirms the current rate; urgent processing at the airport carries higher, unstated fees. Submission via the Saint Kitts and Nevis e-Border app (preferred) or www.knatravelform.kn; app users qualify for fast-track facial biometric arrival.
