Direction: any person or expedition seeking to access Heard Island and McDonald Islands (HIMI). Per the AAD permits page: the HIMI Environment Protection and Management Ordinance 1987 (EPMO) provides that a person may only enter the HIMI Territory (including the 12 nautical miles territorial sea) in accordance with a permit issued under the Ordinance, or during an emergency, or while performing duties as an inspector appointed under the EPMO. Per the AAD territory page: the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water is responsible for the administration of the HIMI Territory, and the Australian Antarctic Division fulfils this role for the Department. Applications must be submitted at least five months in advance. No ordinary traveller declaration entry was found on the AAD pages this round; recorded as unresolved.
