Who it applies to, exceptions and limits (full text)

From 1 August 2025 persons entering for work or visiting need an Entry Permit unless exempt. Visitor permits are 40 days; the current charge is GBP250 per person — the 2026-09-29 capture of this page shows £250 with no effective date, and the 1 July 2026 effective date rests on the June 2026 fee-update notice captured 2026-09-12 (source GS-fee), not restated on this round’s page; work permits differ. Apply individually or through an authorised representative at eta.entry.gov.gs. Adequate evacuation/repatriation health cover is required. Government also publishes landing declarations and a visitor biosecurity self-audit document; these are additional controls whose detailed responsibility must be checked separately. 2026-09-29 page capture: applications are made through the dedicated web portal https://eta.entry.gov.gs (Chrome/Edge only), individually or by an authorised person for a group (travel agent, cruise ship operator, family member) using the GSGSSI Group Entry Permit Application xlsx; each applicant supplies purpose, name and date of birth, nationality, travel document (passport valid for the whole permit duration plus 4 weeks, or a Seafarer’s Identity Document), e-mail contact, health insurance covering emergency evacuation and repatriation of mortal remains, and vessel name with intended first-arrival and departure dates; separate visitor/work applications are required. Permits or refusal notices are sent to the email address provided — the page does not require this to be the applicant’s own address; where a representative’s email is used, the representative must have the applicant’s consent to act on their behalf and is responsible for promptly forwarding all correspondence to the relevant individual. Other unresolved obligations are recorded only in unresolved note GS-audit-1 and are not asserted here.
