Online ED form available 72 hours prior to arrival; receipts presented to Customs on arrival, when the red/green channel step takes place at Maurice Bishop International Airport.
Who it applies to, exceptions and limits (full text)
All persons entering Grenada are required by law to declare to Customs anything contained in their baggage, or carried with them, which has been obtained outside of Grenada, and must answer all questions asked by the Customs Officer relating to their travels, baggage, its contents and other items being imported. This is one single traveller arrival customs declaration procedure, not two separate applications or forms. Submission channel — Online ED Form: travellers are required to complete the online Immigration and Customs Form (the Customs page links the Online ED Form to edcard.gov.gd), which is available 72 hours prior to arrival; once completed, the Immigration and Customs receipts should be saved to the passenger's mobile device or printed, for presentation to Customs upon arrival; passengers are asked to be honest when filling the declarations — misinformation can result in delays and penalties. On-arrival step — red/green channel: the page states Customs has 2 channels at Maurice Bishop International Airport; this record confines the red/green channel step to that airport and does not extend it to other ports of entry. Green Channel (Nothing to Declare): fast clearance for passengers carrying only permissible items; passing through it signifies a "deemed declaration" that the passenger has no items exceeding duty-free allowances, nor any banned/restricted items; random checks may still occur. Red Channel (Goods to Declare): for declaring goods that require duty payment or special clearance — i.e. excess, high-value, restricted or commercial items; passengers must declare items to customs officials, and failure to do so can result in fines, seizures, or legal action; if unsure whether items are allowed or taxable, always choose the red channel. Duty-free allowances are conditions of this procedure, not a separate form: tobacco goods 200 cigarettes or 50 cigars or 250 grams of tobacco; alcohol 1 litre of wine or 1 litre of spirits; perfumed spirits 10 fluid ounces; other goods to the value of EC$1,000.00. No relief is afforded to any person who enters Grenada after an absence therefrom of less than twenty-four (24) hours; no relief for any person under the age of eighteen (18) years in respect of spirits (other than perfumed spirits), tobacco goods or wine; and no relief is granted if the articles are brought in for commercial purposes. Duties/taxes payable on red-channel goods are distinct from any service fee for the declaration itself; the current page contains no service-fee information for the declaration.
