Before leaving Egypt, record the valuable items on the designated form for use when returning. The official page does not specify the exact counter or submission workflow.
Who it applies to, exceptions and limits (full text)
Residents departing Egypt who wish to bring valuable items back into the country on a later return. To document those items for the returning-resident baggage treatment, the departing resident must record them on the form designated for this purpose ('على النموذج المعد لذلك'); the current official passengers page publishes no form number and no downloadable form. On return, the personal baggage previously recorded at departure on that form is included alongside new personal goods (e.g. gifts) up to EGP 15,000, with customs and other taxes due on new goods above that allowance; the new-goods exemption is granted at most twice per year with the passport holder present in person. The EGP 15,000 figure is the arriving new-goods allowance, not a threshold that triggers this registration. The page does not say unregistered valuables are prohibited from re-importation.
