A traveller-completed online police border form, headed 'FORMALITES D'IMMIGRATION / D'EMIGRATION', for the traveller's own movements in either travel direction — entry (immigration) or exit (emigration); the same official portal and the same form category serve both directions, and the traveller completes and presents the form for the corresponding journey; whether one submitted record — a single QR code or digital fiche — also covers both an entry and an exit (for example one round trip), and the per-submission rule and window, are not stated in any readable Burkina Faso official text and are not inferred here, and foreign official 'for each trip' wording is not treated as a substitute for the domestic source; it collects identity, travel-document, journey and flight data plus an honour declaration, and validation generates a QR code or digital fiche to present to the migration agent. The official FAQ states that a fiche de voyage, electronic or paper, is a document needed to board an aircraft, that passengers not resident in Burkina Faso use the same site, and that on persistent platform failure the traveller goes to the airport with passport and required travel documents to complete the police formalities on site. The platform was officially launched on 8 April 2026 at Ouagadougou International Airport; at the launch the Minister of Security stated that each traveller can now fill the fiche 'jusqu'à 72 heures avant son voyage' — the French wording fixes no precise earliest-opening time or hard cutoff and is not read as one. The form warns that knowingly false entries are punishable by imprisonment and fine under loi n° 001-2024/ALT of 22 February 2024 on conditions of entry and stay of foreigners and exit of nationals and foreigners. This record evidences only the launched service at that air border (Ouagadougou aviation point of entry and exit); applicability to other airports and to land or sea borders is not evidenced. No processing fee is shown on any official page.

Route-based declaration of physical cash and bearer negotiable instruments, with two separate inclusive thresholds. (1) Intra-UMOA: anyone entering BF from another UEMOA member state, or leaving BF for another member state, must declare to the Customs administration at the entry or exit point, at the moment of entry or exit, when the amount carried reaches CFA 10,000,000 or more (Instruction 002-03-2025 of 18 March 2025, in force from signature). (2) Third country: anyone entering BF from a third state, or leaving BF for a third state, must likewise declare when the amount reaches CFA 5,000,000 or more (Instruction 231/07/2024 of 16 July 2024, which expressly abrogated instruction 008-09-2017). Both thresholds include the stated amount ('le seuil à partir duquel'). Breaches are sanctioned under the UEMOA uniform AML/CFT law. This is the general cash/BNI reporting regime and is distinct from the separate foreign-exchange written declaration regime (see BF-fx-payment-means-declaration); the relationship between the two duties and whether one submission at the same border point covers both is not stated in the instructions and remains unresolved.
