Indonesia

Everything you need to know about Indonesia's electronic Customs Declaration (e-CD), without paying a middleman.

Indonesia’s electronic Customs Declaration (e-CD) is a free digital form required for all arrivals — including Indonesian citizens. It replaced the paper customs form in 2022 and is filed at ecd.beacukai.go.id.

Indonesia also has a separate e-Visa on Arrival (e-VOA) at molina.imigrasi.go.id for nationalities that don’t qualify for visa-free entry. The e-VOA has a real government fee (about $35 USD); the e-CD is free.

The fast facts

  • Official URL: ecd.beacukai.go.id — the .go.id suffix is restricted to Indonesian government entities.
  • Cost: free. Always free.
  • Required for: every arriving traveler, including Indonesian citizens. Submitted within 3 days of arrival.
  • What you need: passport, flight number, address in Indonesia, email, about 7 minutes.
  • What you get: a QR code emailed to you. Show it at customs.
  • e-VOA is separate: if you need a visa on arrival ($35 USD government fee), file at molina.imigrasi.go.id. That’s a different form, different domain, different agency. Both may be required for your trip.
