Georgia e-Visa: You May Not Need One Before Paying (2026)
Many listed passports can enter without a visa for one full year. If you do need an e-Visa, the current process has two paid steps.

Citizens of countries in its annex may enter and stay in Georgia without a visa for one full year. Check the exact passport country in the current text. If it is covered and your trip fits the rule, there is no e-Visa application to submit and no visa fee to pay.
Who should use the e-Visa portal
The Ministry describes e-Visa as a short-stay route. The live application says it is only for visits of less than 90 days and makes eligibility depend on citizenship and travel-document type.

Select the passport you will actually use. Visa validity and permitted stay vary by passport, so rely on the result shown by the application rather than a duration copied from another traveller.
The current fee has two parts
The official FAQ lists:
- USD 20 visa fee;
- 2% service fee.

The live application adds a second mandatory step after the first application and consular payment:
- complete DuVerify within 24 hours using the emailed link;
- pay an additional USD 15 per applicant.
Stopping after the USD 20 payment does not complete the current process.
Processing and email deadlines
The FAQ says a decision takes not less than 5 working days. It also gives two earlier deadlines:
- verify the first application email within 1 hour;
- pay within 5 hours after the payment notice.
Allow more than the stated minimum. The site does not promise a maximum decision time.
Documents to prepare
The live application lists a photo, the passport scanned into one PDF, accommodation, a round ticket, travel insurance, proof of financial means and proof of travel purpose. A supporting-document copy is added when applicable.
At the border, be ready to present the passport and the same trip evidence. An e-Visa does not replace those checks.

What you receive
The Ministry emails the e-Visa as a PDF. Print it and bring it with the same passport used for the application. If any e-Visa detail does not match the passport, the FAQ says the document is invalid and the fee is not refunded.
