China runs an online Arrival Card for foreign nationals, available since 20 November 2025. It is run by the National Immigration Administration, it is free, and the website is one of six official channels: the web form, the government service platform, the “NIA 12367” app, the WeChat and Alipay mini-programs, and scanning an arrival card QR code at the port.
Eight categories are exempt from online filing, from Foreign Permanent Resident ID holders to fast-channel users. The official notices reviewed do not specify an advance filing window. The card can also be completed at the port of entry.
