Bahrain eVisa · field guide · varies

The fields where people get the official eVisa wrong, in form order.

The public eligibility screen exposes its first route questions, and the government service directory publishes product documents and fees. Later application regexes, character limits and most field errors were not publicly readable, so this guide makes no pattern or official-error claims.

§ Fields, in order

11 fields, 3 sections, varies total.

All sections Showing 11 of 11
Section 1 · Choose the route
01

Online or on-arrival eligibility

Check the official online-visa list and the separate visa-on-arrival list. A passport can follow one route, both routes or neither, subject to the conditions shown by NPRA.

02

Current GCC residence permit or visit visa

Answer whether you hold a current valid residence permit or visit visa for a GCC country. If yes, select the country attached to that document.

03

Purpose of visit

Choose the real purpose of the trip. The eligibility screen uses it before presenting available visa routes.

04

Detailed purpose and description

Select the detailed purpose and describe the actual visit. Keep it consistent with the hotel reservation, return ticket and any sponsor information.

05

Nationality as shown in passport

Select nationality as shown in the passport you will use. Eligibility and the issued document are tied to that passport.

Section 2 · Product and attachments
06

Visit eVisa product

Choose only a product returned by the official eligibility tool. Current government pages describe a two-week single-entry product and three-month, one-year and five-year multiple-entry products.

07

Passport copy

Prepare a clear copy of the passport you will use to enter Bahrain. The NPRA FAQ says the same passport must be used for the application and arrival.

08

Hotel reservation

Prepare the hotel reservation listed by the visitor eVisa service. Its dates and guest details should match the application.

09

Return ticket

Prepare the return ticket requested on the government service page. Check that the passenger name and dates describe the same trip as the application.

10

Three-month bank statement

Prepare a 3-month statement in English. The covered government pages ask for regular income of BD 300 to BD 500 per month or funds equivalent to BD 150 for each day of the visit.

Section 3 · Decision and retrieval
11

Application email and reference number

Use an email account you control and save the application reference. NPRA emails the decision; approved applicants retrieve and print the eVisa through the official portal.

§ After submit

What happens between hitting submit and getting through immigration.

  1. 01

    Confirmation screen

The official site shows a confirmation on screen. Screenshot it — that's your backup.

  2. 02

    Decision arrives by email

NPRA says it advises applicants by email when a decision is made. Keep the reference number and use the same application email for any status help.

  3. 03

    At immigration

NPRA emails the decision. If approved, retrieve and print the eVisa through the official status service and enter with the same passport used in the application.

  4. 04

    Print the eVisa

Use Check your Visa on the official portal to print the document. No visa is stamped in the passport before arrival.

  5. 05

    Use the same passport

NPRA says entry must use the same passport used for the online application. Approval still does not guarantee admission at the border.

The public selection screen exposes route questions for GCC status, purpose, detailed purpose, description and passport nationality. Later form regexes, character limits and most error text were not publicly readable. This guide does not invent them.

1. Compare the two eligibility lists

Check the passport against both official lists. Terms and conditions apply to each. If the on-arrival route fits, do not assume an online application is also required.

2. Answer the GCC-status question

The live screen asks whether you hold a current valid residence permit or visit visa for a GCC country. Answer with the document’s current status, then select the GCC country if the answer is yes.

3. Use the real purpose

Choose the purpose, detailed purpose and description that match the trip. Keep them consistent with the hotel, return booking and any guarantor information.

4. Select passport nationality

Use the nationality shown in the passport you will present at the border. NPRA says an approved traveller must arrive with the same passport used in the online application.

5. Choose only an eligible product

Do not pick only by price or headline duration. The eligibility result controls which products are available and provides their conditions. Current government pages describe two-week single-entry, three-month multiple-entry, one-year multiple-entry and five-year multiple-entry products.

6. Prepare the passport copy

Upload a clear copy of the passport you will use. Keep the identity details readable and do not switch travel documents after applying.

7. Prepare the hotel reservation

The covered visitor eVisa services list a hotel reservation. Check that the guest details and dates match the application.

8. Prepare the return ticket

The government service pages also list a return ticket. Use a booking with the same passenger and travel dates described in the application.

9. Prepare the financial evidence

The covered products ask for a 3-month bank statement in English. The published test is regular income of BD 300 to BD 500 per month or funds equivalent to BD 150 for each day of the visit.

10. Leave processing time

The published estimate is approximately 3 to 5 working days. Exceptional cases can take longer, so do not build a non-refundable trip around the shortest estimate.

11. Save the email and reference

NPRA emails the decision. Keep the reference number. If approved, retrieve and print the eVisa through the official portal, then travel with the same passport used for the application.
